What RareSync does

Identify your inventory from a photo, like a barcode, without printing and sticking labels. RareSync writes listings and crosslists to where you sell.

What you get

RareSync identifies your inventory from a photo, like a barcode, without printing and sticking labels. Photograph a unique item. RareSync finds it in your catalog, or writes the listing if it is not there yet. You check the draft, then crosslist it to where you sell. Which brown basket is this? Point the camera at it. The listing comes right up. New stock gets a name and a write-up from the same photo. You read it over before it goes out. If it looks like something you already have, RareSync says so.

Your items live in one catalog. When you connect Square or Shopify, you crosslist to those stores.

How it works

  1. Open RareSync on your phone or your computer.
  2. Add an item and take its photos.
  3. Read the details we drafted. Change anything that is not right.
  4. Save the item to your catalog.
  5. Connect your store, then crosslist the item to where you sell.

Steps 1 to 4 work on their own. You can build a whole catalog in RareSync before you connect a store at all.

Which stores we work with

Square and Shopify, today. You can connect both.

Your store keeps working the way it always has. RareSync sits alongside it and crosslists your items when you ask it to. See Connect your store when you are ready.

What you need to start

  • An email address, or a Google account
  • A phone with a camera, if you want to photograph items where they sit
  • A Square or Shopify store, if you want your items to reach a shop
  • A plan, once you want to connect that store

You do not need a plan to make an account and look around. You need one before you connect a store.
