Your workspace
Your shop name, country, currency and date settings.
Your workspace is your shop inside RareSync. Your catalog, your team, your store connections and your plan all sit in it.
Find these settings in Settings, then Your workspace. Changes are not saved until you choose Save Changes at the top.
Your workspace name
Under Workspace Identity, set the Workspace Name to whatever you call your shop. It is what your team sees when they sign in.
There is a Description field beside it. It is a note for you and your team, and it is not sent to any store.
Your country
Under Region & Formats, Country is where your business is based.
It decides more than it looks like it should:
- which currency your prices show in
- which plans you can buy
- how we bill you
Change it carefully once you are paying us. Billing follows the country on the workspace, so moving it moves your billing with it.
Your currency
Currency follows your country and is not set on its own. Pick the country and the currency comes with it.
If you sell through a store that prices in something else, each connected store has its own Currency row on the Sync screen. Set that one to the currency that store's prices are actually in.
Timezone and date format
Two more rows under Region & Formats:
- Timezone, so times we show you are your local ones.
- Date Format, so dates read the way you expect.
Neither reaches your store. They only change what you see here.
A new workspace arrives with both filled in from your browser's clock setting, marked Detected from your browser. Change either one if it is wrong, and choose Save Changes to keep what is there. We never guess your country from it: that one is always yours to pick.
Moving between workspaces
You start with one workspace and most people stay that way. Accept an invite to somebody else's shop and you belong to two, which is when a Workspaces list appears at the top of your account menu. Open that menu from the button beside your name at the bottom of the sidebar, or from your avatar in the header on a phone, and pick the one you want. A tick marks where you are now.
Inviting someone adds them to yours. They do not get a workspace of their own and they do not bring one with them. See Your team.
Who can change this
Owners and Admins. Members can see Your workspace and cannot edit it, with a note at the top saying so.
