Filters and sorting

Narrow your catalog and change the order of the list.

Search is for finding one item. Filters are for looking at a group of them: every archived item, everything under 20, everything with no photo yet.

Filter your catalog

On Catalog, open Filters and Sort. Tick or choose what you want, and the list behind the panel updates as you go.

You can combine as many as you like. Each one narrows what is left.

FilterWhat it does
StatusAll Status, Ready, Live, Drafts or Archived
Missing images onlyItems with no photo yet
CategoryOne or more of your own categories
Product TypeOne or more of your own product types
Price RangeA low and high price to sit between

Category and Product Type only list values your own items already use, so the options change as your catalog grows.

What the statuses mean

This trips up nearly everyone, so it is worth being clear. Status is a single setting on the item, with four values you choose between.

  • Drafts are items you started and have not finished. They never leave RareSync.
  • Ready items are finished and safe to send over, and not for sale yet.
  • Live items are for sale on every store you have connected.
  • Archived items are ones you put away. They come off your store and stay here.

The catalog opens on Live, which is your working list. Pick All Status when an item has gone missing from it. Usually it turns out to be a draft.

Sort the list

Pick an order from Sort By:

  • Newest First and Oldest First, by when you added the item
  • Name (A-Z) and Name (Z-A)
  • Price (Low-High) and Price (High-Low)

Sorting never removes anything. It only changes the order, so a missing item is a filter problem rather than a sort problem.

Clear your filters

Choose Clear All Filters at the bottom of the panel. That button only appears when a filter is actually on, which is a quick way to check whether one is.

Search text is separate and stays where it is. Clear the search box too if you want the full catalog back.
