Why can I not change this

A control you cannot use is almost always one of three things: your role, your plan, or an item waiting on a decision. Check them in that order.

Your role does not allow it

Members can add and edit items. They cannot delete items, manage the team or change settings, and Billing does not appear in Settings for them.

If that is you, ask an Owner or an Admin to do it, or to change your role. See What each role can do.

You often see a note at the top of the screen explaining you can look but not change. That note is the answer.

Only the Owner can do it

There is exactly one thing reserved for the Owner, and it is deleting the whole workspace.

Everything else an Owner can do, an Admin can do too, billing included. So if you are an Admin and something is blocked, your role is not the reason. Read on.

Your plan does not include it

Some things need a plan, and some need a particular plan.

• Connecting a store needs an active plan. The connect buttons stay greyed out without one and send you to Billing when pressed.
• Making your own roles needs a plan that includes it. Owner, Admin and Member work on every plan.
• If you are over a limit, the action that would push you further over is blocked. See Limits on your plan.

Open Settings, then Billing to see where you stand. Members do not have that screen, so ask an Owner or an Admin.

Your payment is overdue

When a payment fails, the paid parts of RareSync lock straight away and the app holds you on Billing until it is sorted. See When a payment fails.

The item is waiting on a decision

An item where RareSync and your store disagree stops syncing until someone picks a version. Look for Conflicts Detected on the Sync screen. See When two versions disagree.

Ask someone who can

If you are working in someone else's workspace, the Owner can change your role or make the change for you. That is usually faster than working out which permission you are short of.
